Bespoke PCs
With over 14 years of building PCs, we know how to build,
solid, reliable PCs. We have detailed experience in building
PCs for home computer use, for high end music production,
and high end graphics rendering such as using Maya. There
are several factors that all add up to creating PCs that
work and work, these are
- Quality components - using the very best electronic
components.
- Updating the BIOS memory on the motherboard.
- Updating firmware on hardware products such as hard
drives and DVD re-writers.
- Updating licensed software that has a good reputation.
1. When we build PCs, we do not cut corners. We
use the very best components for your systems. Computer
systems purchased from some well know PC stores do not contain
the very best components and this in turn does not translate
into ultimate reliability.
2. Most computer users aren't even aware of what
a BIOS is, and to be honest there's no reason why they should,
but this is one of the most crucial aspects to a solid reliable
PC. The BIOS is a memory chip on the motherboard that contains
programming code to tell the computer that it is actually
a computer. Without this being the very latest version,
it's very similar to building a house where the foundations
are already crumbling away. All our PC systems are supplied
with fully updated motherboard BIOS programs so you don't
need to worry.
3. Firmware is similar to the BIOS except that it
applies to hardware other than the motherboard. When you
purchase a CD or DVD Rom drive, this will most like not
have the latest programming within it and therefore will
not be functioning as optimal as the respective company
would want it to. We supply all our PC systems will fully
updated firmware so you don't need to worry.
4. Updating software is essential to keeping a PC
running smoothly. This must first start with the operating
system. We supply all our PCs with Windows XP and will fully
update it before we give it to you. We will fully update
to XP Service Pack 2 (which we now recommend for home computer
users) or just update it XP Service Pack 1 (which we recommend
for some computer users).
Don't worry - if you don't understand the jargon,
just speak to us and we'll sort out your requirements without
any hassle or geek-speak.
